tuning the pcm with Edit

I know there are not a lot of Edit users out there, but I have reached the point in my engine rebuild where I need to set up the pcm for my changes. I have a 98 ls1 that is completely stock except for the following: ls6 cam with 551 lift and the ls6 intake. port and polished ls1 heads. no egr and a 2000 stall with 3.08 gears. All of this through shorty headers and high flow cats. I have the file for a stock 02 ls6 and thought that copying the relavent tables like timing and fuel is all i need to do to get it to run since the maf ,throttle body and injectors are all the same. will it start and run without these changes is another question so that i could eliminate pcm issues on the start up until the engine is broke in. any help is appreciated
