tires?

i have a 99 T/A with c6 zo6 18x10.5 wheels on the rear. i am currently running 295/35 /18s out back but my tires are GONE! i was told to step up to 305/35s which would look better with a little more sidewall but how much wider will they be? the 295s already rubbed a little when i put them on. any help is appreciated thanks

Just like anything else in life, sizes vary by brand. So there is no concrete answer as to what will rub and what won't. Best advice to make it stop rubbing is to get under there and fix the issue. Either roll the fender lip, use the BFH or get an adjustable panhard bar. There isn't much for options above 295 unless you want to run a Drag radial. There are toyo proxxes in 315 30 18 on ebay right now, but i don't know what kind of issues that would bring with your front tires.

the 295s were rubbing the bottom of the inner fender which i fixed with a hammer lol then re-coated the fenderwell but i heard the 305s were about a half inch wider but the front tires sidewall is a little thicker than the rear which is why i think the 305s would look better

Go check out tirerack.com and ebay, there aren't any good options for a 305. I understand your pain man, I've been dealing with the same thing.

i looked there a while back but it seems like all the have is drag radials. the 295s ar michelin pilot sports which i priced at almost 300 each. it sucks cause my fiance just lost her job so i might have to run them till the cords show. lol

and i like BFG KDW are a good tire as well for that size
