It would be alot cooler if GM was building one. Since it's SLP though... meh.
Needs more pics.
gm licensed it. gm authorized it. gm is letting them use the name zl1 on the camaro. what's the big stink about it. slp built some of the super sports from 97-02 and all of the ws6's if i remember right...so they've got gm history and tradition...so who cares.
Not that impressed......I mean come on, how expensive will this be?? How much overhead cost are we paying for the "SLP" name alone???? I respect SLP, but most of us on this site know they overcharge and lie about what their products offer.
Seeing 2010 Nickey Camaros being offered for twice the price of a base Camaro SS I'm sure these ZL1's will be outragiously priced as well. I often wondered who would buy a GT500 Super Snake because they were so much money and I would like to have one but have no desire for this ZL1. I have yet so see rims on the 5th Gen Camaro I like more than the stock ones but they still don't make the grade with the SRT8 rims.
Now I see what's going on. I was saying to myself that slp already has a zl1, but I think this one will be the answer to the gt500 Super Snake.
The current slp car is already pushing 70k, so you can expect a significant hike in price for one of these maggie powered cars.
It just wouldn't be a ZL1 in my eyes unless it was sporting 427 cubes to begin with (an aluminum one at that). After all, that's where the name came from if you know your history.
So does this thing have a 427???
For 750 HP I'm betting it will
Hurst is making a limited number of supercharged ss camaros. They are about 63000.00 each. May as well buy a corvette at that price
