95 supercharged POS

Okay my friend has a Purple supercharged mustang that he exclaims would kill me.

We decided to take a spin out this morning and man my car was loving this cool air it felt so much faster and I just finished doing an oil change i changed the fuel filter and cleaned the k&n filter. okay now we are on rt 100 in pasadena maryland and he gets on it before i decide i want to take my car out of Over Drive and just put it in Drive. So he takes off and he shut down before i could get past 5000 rpms so that was a fail.

Second race we slowed down to a stop and raced from a dig and now we are dead even to about 110 and now i start gaining on him and he let off. he wouldnt let another race happen after that. what are your thoughts on what a 3rd race would of done

What mods.do you have? I raced a 94 GT with a vortex and exhaust and it was a ugly I jumped.hard outta the hole.but with the boost kicked.in that think pulled hard top end. The 94 and 95 5.0 motors are some good motors.with a blower or h/c/nos car. Stock for stick a TA all day but those were easy modded and fast years.

I have SLP cold air induction and LS6 Intake with a Newly refreshed motor and everything else is stock besides tranny and motor mounts

Guy here with a 98 SC cobra, he only runs a 13.15 at the track. They arent fast.

Takes more than a S/C to run good times. A 98 cobra has 305crank hp, with bolt ons and a supercharger that car could easily make 400whp. 400whp is enough to get a car with that weight into the deep 11s if it is setup to hook and driven right. My buddies turbo 5.0 is running 9psi on a decent size turbo and traps 128mph.

YEa, neither was my buddies. Alot comes into play with a question like that. We dont know gears, tranny, stall, driver, tires, traction,. Just a s/ced 5.0 which tells us nothing since there are so many mods and setup for the 5.0.

87-95 are 5.0

96-03 4.6 is crappy 4.6

04 and up is decent 4.6

2011 new 5.0

A supercharged 5.0 Mustang should have won. Maybe he was bad driver. Maybe that was his only mod. See Zinergy's response about aftermarket mods on Mustang. I agree with him.

He wasn't pulling on me but he is an automatic as well I don't know how bad the mustangs autos are

When stock...... HORRIBLE, one of the worst auto trannys for performance in stock form.
