you want one that is adjustable...however i can tell you...a computer tune..can give you great firm shifts...people have said my shifts are like manuals...my 1-2 shift is brutal :D this of course is all adjustable
I've used both kits, either one is fine with me. Both decent kits that work.
If you are going to tune the car in the future, you might want to wait. Most people are satisfied with the firmer shifts that a good tuner can do with a stock trans, which is what I did for mine.
I figured since the 4L60's are hit and miss, I'd stick with the tune and simply wait and see how long the trans lasts. If it ever broke I'd go for a full tilt rebuild and put a shift kit in it at that time. I'm still waiting, it's been 4-5 years now :chuckles:
I had my trans done with the tune and it was like a new car. Shifts faster, firmer, and raised the shift points to 6k rpm.
I had my tranny reprogrammed a few years ago. Firmer shifts and raised limiter.. It's my auburn that is starting to not like it so much.. But it took a few years and 50k or so to get there..
