i like right around 18 with mine.
I do 18 if I plan on racing.
Yes. I agree with above. Start at 18 and you may even find going a little lower might hook you up better. Good luck and let us know how they fair out for you.
sounds like a plan. 18 it is and ill keep you up to date on hook
:goodluck:
Just do us a favor and post all the info on the 1/4 mile slip instead of posting you got a 14.3 and don't know what happened:lol:
hahah will do:blush:
I start at 18 and work my way down with those.
well i was set and ready to go but it is 100° today and 107° with the humidity...the track temp was near 130 so i decided to wait on going today
The time in my sig was with 3.73 gears. Best pass prior to the stall was 13.09 @ 108+ with a 1.9x 60'.
The 1st set was Motive. They whined like a whore that didn't get paid.
The 2nd set was Richmond. They started to whine after about 25 passes.
Next set was AAG (basically factory). They were quiet till I started to race again. After about 50 passes the pinion bearing bearing sorta welded itself to the pinion. This was the set I did the 12.559 with.
The current set is a factory set of used 3.23's that my buddy installed. I've yet to take them to the track (It's too hot to race these days here in PHX). I had them installed for the cruise to the LA Invasion. No noise over the last 1,000 miles or so.
Now all I can think about now is how to make my rear last with 3.73's:lol:
Sort of hoping that 12.5 was before the stall
Seems like installing gears always ends up with a whine.
Gotta find me a used 10-bolt.
