I have a 1998 trans am. Since i have the stock LS1 intake its got the EGR. Can i just take pull out the EGR hose. Will it hurt the engine or throw off any codes if i do. Thanks

It would need blocked off. Otherwise your motor will be seeing un-metered air.
Leave it on until you get a different intake.
You'll throw codes if you pull the hose. The codes will need to be edited out. You'll also have to get block off plates for the manifolds so you can remove those pipes as well and a 1 3/8" adjustable freeze plug for the manifold to seal it up.
The only reason to pull the egr is cosmetics. You won't gain anything by pulling it. I found when I pulled mine that I started getting a lot more knock and had to smooth my part throttle timing so I didn't get "tip in" knock when going WOT. I'd say unless you just hate the way it looks it's best to be left alone. My opinion only.
