Raced a Viper

Me - Stall, Cam, bolt-ons, DRs
Him - 1995 Viper, headwork, LTs, don't know what else

Numbers - (Me - 336) (Him - 390) Same mustang dyno.

Weight - (Me - 3460) (Him -3340?) Same scale. Can't remember his exact weight.

I had some issues with traction in first gear, I believe he did as well. It was so bad the first race I had to let out, or I would of went off the road. There was some loose gravel all over that road.

The second race was better for me, but still gravel on the road of course. Not sure how he was getting traction. I've dead hooked on the street several times already this year.

Launch was some what close, then he pulled from there. Probably 3 cars to 120. I know I can make it closer, so we will race again at a better location. I don't think I can beat him because he was slowly pulling even after I got into 2nd gear. But I think I can close the gap to a car length.

Video will be posted in about a week. A friend of mine does a little editing before he posts them.

Oh I forgot to mention I beat an LS1 swapped BMW. Slipped my mind, cuz I just wanted to beat the Viper.

Not sure what was all done to the BMW, but I'll try and find out. Traction wasn't much better, just a little bit maybe.

nice, kill on the bmw, and them vipers are fast i think the wieght was just over 3200 if i remember right for the older ones

We went to the scales that night and his was just about 3300.

My roommate has very similar mods to me and he used another mustang dyno, put down 380ish, just depends on the dyno.

I've beaten him 3x, then he beat me once last night after he got a better tune. I want a rematch though cuz I spun.

It's mostly cuz the suspension is loaded. It's stock suspension. I have seen worse

Guys like that are arrogant a$$holes, when I got beat by an SRT8 in my old LT1 Z the guy had no problem racing again on another day. We just raced for fun, if you say "there's no point" in re-running closely-matched cars, you're just being a douche.
