Best way to stop minor wheel hop?
I have a 02 Z28, 3:42's a 3400/2.1 str stall and run 16 inch nitto 555R's at the track. I still have a stock 10 bolt(with gears added). I did put LCA's on and Bilstien shocks. Question is: I do a lot of ET races(200+) in past 2 years, Stall is recent addition and LT headers and now I get traction isssues. Not bad issues but tries catch and let loose and catch again, not really what I would considerbad wheel hop, but really makes me lay off the car when it does this since I can't afford a moser right now. I can run 1.70's on a well prep'd track but it is with a easy lauch and I know I could run 1.6's if I could launch good...I have only had maybe 10 times I launched without problems in the past 60 times at the track and ran 1.7's 60 foot and a 12.69 best and wasn't best conditions. I've thought about TQ arm or relocation brackets..but my car is stock height. Am I asking too much since I want to keep the 10 bolt as long as possible and also, if I do add anything for better traction, would it make my 10 bolt granade easier? Any suggestions are appreciated and I know I need a moser, but money is tight. Car is putting out about 345 rwhp and 352TQ...withing a HP or 2...sheet isn't here and car is about 4000 lbs with me in it. People always say, how could it weigh 4000 lbs...me 300 lbs, stb, lca's, sfcs, a little over 90lbs combined, ground effects, billet grill etc...all adds up.
