98 z28 motor and trans rebuild with mild cam??

I'm about to trade my 98 rs for a z28 but the engine and trans are out and ready for a rebuild on the z28... How much should I look to pay for engine trans rebuild with mild cam?? The guy I tradin with got a quote for engine rebuild wit cam for 1250 .. About how much for trans?? And can anyone on here do it cheaper?!?! I'm located near indianapolis, indiana.. Thanks for help

1250 seems really really cheap for that work

I have over $2,500 in parts in my a4 plus the price for a converter. The motor rebuild does sound alittle on the cheap side unless it is just labor
