no A/C

Purged and recharged the a/c in the goat last night and for some reaspn the a/c clutch isn't engaging...if I use a jumper wire to hot the clutch locks up like it supposed to and I get nice cold air.

Any ideas? Anyone know how to ohm the pressue switch by the driverside headlight?

You have a multimeter? I assume you need to switch it to read ohms and have the car switched to "run" to see if you are getting power. You check your relay?

If you suspect a bad pressure switch you can run a jumper a cross the two terminals on the connector while the engine is running and A/C on to see if the clutch engages. If your A/C worked before you recharged it, are you sure you have the correct amount of refrigerant in the system?

I have a multi meter, but not sure how to test the switch because its a 3 wire switch not your normal two wire (on off switch).

The a/c worked last year, but tried it for the first time the other day since my 408 swap. I have everything hooked up right in the engine compartment and have checked all the fuses and relays.

I'm stumped here lol

weird ,tryed mine yesterday it as well would not work,I have not checked anything as of yet,blew cold last year,maybe a control issue,had the heater do the same thing then all at once it started working again... let us know what you find..

If its three wires one will be power, the other will send the signal to a a/c module, and the third should be a chassis ground. Im not sure what wires are what, but i can check at work today.

Did you check the pressure of the charge? If you over-charge the system, it can prevent the compressor from running due to tripping the pressure switch. I did this on my 00 SS a few years back when I tought the air was not cold enough. Turns out that black interiors are just fricken HOT!

Yup joe pressure is right on the money

Sorry it took so long. The PPL/WHT wire is a 5v ref, GRN/BLK is pressure signal and GRN/ORG Low Ref. I would verify that you have 5v to the sensor. Then check the signal voltage. All of the wires go to the PCM
