My First Time on a Drag Strip - Results

Well, I finally made it to a real drag strip and brought home a few nice time slips....even ran past an experienced driver with a 2010 SS Camaro

All of my 1/4 mile times were virtually identical, but some of the #'s along the way changed substantially. Can anyone give me a little info on what that is indicating? (My mid mph #s for example)

The weather was a very cold 40-45 degrees with a setting sun that had just come out after a cloudy day, traction off the line was minimal and I wasn't hooking up until after hitting 2nd gear.

I run a 2002 WS6 A4 with 315 nitto 555 (street) in the back, a lid, K&N, tune, headers, catted Y & a corsa exhuast. The car was empty but had extra weight from my 32/22mm Solid sway bars, STB, and 3pt SFCs.

Are you running stock gears?

Yes, my only mods are what I've listed....the stock rear end is 3.23 in the WS6s if I remember right.

Then 12.9 is fuckin GOOD my friend!!!!!

Congrats....prior to getting my new motor my car had similar mods as yours minus the headers and I ran a best of 13.03 @107.

I'd agree that with those mods you are running strong. Get that car to hook better and you might see yourself some mid-12 runs.

Yep. About what I'd expect then. Get your 60 foot times down and your times will improve as 35th said.

And your right. A4 ws6s came with 3.23s, M6 ws6s came with 3.42s

I guess I'll never know, by the time I hit the track again I plan to have a cam (roughly 228/228/114) and a torque converter.....I might run slightly faster times with those :-D
