Never done it, but to me it looks like it goes to everyone. It'd be the equivalent to the self-written RSVP that you send back when you get invited to an event in real life.

You were added along with other friends on inviter's list. So...semi-private. Hell...you might meet some nice scene girls.
Only reason I have a Facebook is because I had to track down JoshieD from this site and get my money he owed me.
