short shifter

for those of you guys with a manual fbody. just wondering if you guys can post pics of your short shifter set up

Ive got a solid aluminum short stick I made if you want to see it. its not the short shifter though

so whats the purpose of a short shifter?

shorter shifts = quicker et's

so is it just a shorter shaft? or are there other parts swapped out that makes the forward and back movement shorter?

Yes its basically a shorter shaft, easily accessible by just removing center console

better returns to the nuetral position... no shitty sloppy feel... better shifts due to not over shifting past or under the point of being in gear... i need to order mine this week (going with a pro 5.0) to tell you better but maybe others can chime in...

modded factory shifter. cut out bent, welded, cleaned and painted it. works awesome. i bought a short stick and it rattled and vibrated like crazy because it didnt have the rubber bushing.

The short stick will help some but a real deal short shifter makes for a truly shorter/firmer shift

Mine has the factory hurst. I like it, never had a problem missing shifts. So the short shifter was purely cosmetic for me.

Yeah I have the hurst shifter too but from what I hear pro 5.0 ftw

anyone tried the MGW?? and is it better than the 5.0??

Here's mine. Factory Hurst shifter with the ws6store short stick. I got mine cause my Hurst stick kept getting loose and had to keep tightening it about every 2 weeks and i didn't like the spongy feel to it either.
