Recently my driver window stopped working. I can hear the motor when i press up or down but it doesnt move. I have to manually pull up the window or push it down with my hand. a mechanic told me my window was off track. Has any one had this problem or know how i should go about putting it back on track... or links where i can get instructions. All i found on here has to do with the motor but i dont need that.
the first step is removing the door panel to get in and look around in there,it could be the regulator or the window motor is just spinning and not engaging.i doubt its off its track.if you dont know how to remove the dp send me a message , i live in lawrenceville and will help you fix the problem.
You can click the install instructions link in my sig and follow the window motor instructions for taking the door panel off.
i laugh whenever i hear "the window is off track". either the window motor is bad or the window regulator has broken.
