I've always ran 87 octane when just commuting and such... if I went to the track I'd go 93 to be safe. But I don't hammer my cars daily driving either.
-Cheapest octane
-Stock compression (not counting changes due to age and shittyness)
-Because it's the cheapest
Although I haven't had to take it to a gas station in almost a year.
93 on the track because that's what gm calls for in the first place I'd guess. That's alot of timing you're giving up for 15 cents a gallon
I use 91 octane. Because car makes more power and runs smoother than say 86 octane and thats what the manual says to use.
93 at ALL times. I thought I read some where that cheap octane can fuck up the engine.
93 all the time, 94 or 95 if I can find it. If you want your car to run the best with less headaches, then 91 or higher is all you should run. :true:
107 all day everyday
Any stock/near stock LS1 should be getting nothing but premium.
Certain reasons you would be able to run lower, but not likely many have those mods done.
Why is this thread around again? :lmao:
Fuel mileage will be worse too
