Im freaking out...

So the lady i hit when i crashed my car is taking me to court :suicide: I thought the insurance had fixed everything, but apparently not. I don't have any details and i don't know why she's taking me to court. My mom says some dude and a lady came looking for me to my house today at around 9pm but i was at work and since i wasn't here well they couldn't leave the papers... so i don't know what the fuck is going on! I'm not gonna lie I'm a little scared... What should i expect? This is the first time this happens to me. I mean i wasn't drunk and i wasn't speeding either i wasn't breaking any law, just not paying attention... fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

I would be scared to if I were you. I would assume you would have a new roomate/bunkmate/cellmate for the next 3-5 months, possibly more, at the local county jail.

Happens all the time, have good insurance? What sucks, dealing with it now... Not my fault and probably not getting my car fixed.

Edit: As far as I know, I'm not getting sued. But don't truly have enough to prove my case or her case wrong. There for, don't think I can get my car fixed, looking at options.

Was the other party injured? Some people sue just to make quick money. Get the papers and see exactly what she is sueing you for and post it up. Then do your homework...
Also call your insurance and ask some questions.

don't worry about it... the insurance company pays for the fees and what not... your rates go up... but you don't pay for shit...

How do you know it is even related to the car crash? Someone may be suing you for something totally unrelated. I currently have THREE active lawsuits against IROC alone soley for Destruction of a Minors Innocence.

your insurance company will more than likely provide a lawyer for you... talk to no one about what ever happened until you talk to the lawyer... he/she will instruct you on what to do/say/act/breath/blink and every thing else...

Been there done that. Unless she has some damn good documentation of what is wrong with her and why she deserves the money they will most likely just toss her some cash to make her shut up and go away. Now if she was significantly injured and her hospitals bills are way up there well then good luck with that. Also when it happened to me it didn't even go to court. Lawyers called us in to each give our side of the story and then the 2 sides talked it out and settled.

Pretty much this is what you need to do. Whatever thought comes in your head clear it with your lawyer first before saying it.

:lol: Well i had some good laughs reading this but i don't think ill go to prison right? I mean shit it was just a small rear end hit at about 30mph. I wasn't breaking any law and small world she's actually cousins to my bestfriends fiance. Ill be getting the court papers tomorrow at noon from some lady (i guess im getting served :lmao: :() Anyways ill look over the papers and i guess all she could be doing is for medical bills? I did have full coverage at the time of the accident and i thought my insurance was supposed to settle everything :dunno: But i guess tomorrow when i get the papers i should take them to my insurance?
