He's 5 years old. 5 year olds are small. He just hasn't grown into his pupils yet. Kind of like how puppies have larger (unproportionate) paws.

Lol five year olds don't grow into their pupils. The sympathetic nervous system automatically adjusts for light if your oculomotor nerve isn't damaged. That's why I asked? If you want to see a cool trick. Place your hand over between someone's eye's..in a karate cho fashion. Shine a light in the right eye. Both pupils will constrict even though the left eye doesn't see the light. The fact that it was dark let's me know this kid is ok. Sorry, I sometimes get in my House mode.... diagnosing everybody on the net.
