Build and price, whatcha think?

Heya guys, name's Jason. I been checking your forum for a while now just never actually posted. Found ya through LS1Tech.com. Before I make a decision on something I thought maybe I'd ask a few good sources for opinions.

So Im soon to return from my armed vacation in the sandbox and I've been in contact with a performance shop. I dont wanna say the name without first hearing your guys opinions just to protect their reputation in a worst case scenario. Just suffice to know its has an extremely positive rep.

Anyway, Im asking him to take my stock '02 SS A4, transform it into something even more badass than it already is, and this is what he came back with. Note, I told him I wanted a car that could do mid to upper 11's and still cruise the streets damn near stock. (Basically i asked him to turn my SS into a Z06)

So whatcha think? Honest opinions. Again its a pro shop with a fantastic rep and, from what i've heard, backs up all their builds if/when anything goes wrong.

I want to contact him back and ask him to inclue a koni/strano shocks/springs setup as well as a stronger rearend and see what he quotes me.

Dont know too much on the price, sounds good to me being installed and tuned. 9" or 12 Bolt for the rear is a must. I know they sell kits that come with heads, cam, etc. Just talk to badass2000ss, hes a member with a trickflow kit and hes real happy with it. Could end up saving you some moolah.

PS: Gonna be a crazy ride with that 28000 Stall lol

Get a bigger coverter :drivin: i wish i did ! as for the list of mods i have a 02 Z28 A4 also and all i can tell you is look into getting a procharger, instant 12.3 car that has the exact same street manners it did b4 the mods!

I second the greater stall speed converter. I have a reworked A4 with a 3400 stall that locks up at ~ 40mph in the 02. It was fine at first, now it's not enough.

What are the specs on the vrx4?
If you search ls1tech a few people have been braking there yella terra's and that would save at least $700 off the build price, plus stockers are great. Brake down the total cost of parts because that seems a little high, then again premo shops can charge higher prices.

man you don't need all that work full bolt on a 3800 10in converter gears could be in the 11s cam only dang near 10s

and the 3800 with lock up is still great on the street heard it works wonders for a4s

Definatley 11's with dr's you need some slicks and a tail wind to get 10's:D
