Tan top SS?

I just bought a 2000 Camaro SS SLP, true WU8 and Y2Y codes. It's a convertible with a tan top, which I read somewhere that all the LS1's had black tops. Does anybody know anything about this? As far as I can tell, it's the original top, and also has tan leather interior. After reading about the black tops, I went through a good portion of the "post your camaros" forums, and still no tan tops, all black. Any input? :help:

Do you have a t-top or a hardtop? I have only seen one v-8 hardtop that was the same color as the rest of the car.

It's a blue car, convertible with a tan top. I guess I should have included that little bit of info. sorry, my bad. I fixed it though.

That helps alot all v-8 t-top cars are black tops, v-6's usually tops are the same as the rest of the car, and most hardtop v-8's are black tops. Convertables are black, tan, etc. Your car is is normal:yup:

Now how about some pics, and mods to introduce yourself to the community properly?

I'd love to, but I'm stuck in Iraq for the next month, and I just happened to find a killer deal on Autotrader, so the only pics I have of it are the crappy AT ones. It's stock except for having a 3:73 rear end, and tires a little wider than normal. It's the only tan top LS1 I've seen, so I figured I'd ask and see if anyone else knew anything, after countless google searches found nothing. Thanks for the info... now how do I delete this thread.....:hmm:

There were 33-white, 1307-black, and 182-tan Camaro SS convertible tops made in total in 2000. Your blue SS-vert is one of 88 made in 6-speed or 66 made with auto.

Sweet. Thanks guys, exactally what I was looking for. Kinda cool knowing I have one of 88 in this color, and one of 56 with the tan top. Thanks for the info, appreciate it. When I get back to the states, I'll post up some pics of it in the other thread...:happy:
