I raced a 99 ls1 camaro from a dig in my 08 a6 bone stock c6 and lost about 3 or 4 car lengths on the street. I raced him a second time and it may have been 3 car lengths. The guy in the ls1 has full exhaust, 3200 or 3600 stall, 342 gears, supension, mail order tune and new 15in slicks. His best run at the track with his set up was 7.8 but has run a 7.7 with his old wheels and tires.

99 LS1 with full bolt ons won a LS3 Vette, wow. I wasnt expecting that at all, i got lots of respect for the LS3. Was he pulling you up top or just pulled on you from a dig since he has stall, tires and gears. Trying to see if power to power he came out on top or not.

Ya i figured that would happen, you should be about 360-370 rwhp easy and his mods will really help him from a dig. Him having full bolt ons on a 99 Z would probably be about 330-340 rwhp and heavier in weight. Well you have a faster car and he had a quicker car either way atleast its nice to know you were honest about the race.
