1979 Chevrolet Z/28 Camaro 350, Power Disc Brakes, Power Windows
Engine: Rebuilt 1973 350 V8, street/strip Cam, Holley 750 CFM double pumper carburetor, K&N air cleaner, MSD ignition, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, Headers, dual flomaster exhaust, chrome dress up kit - valve covers and breather. Also included in this auction are a BRAND NEW set of GM 1:94 hi-performance chevrolet heads with stainless steel valves - ready to install. The engine fires right up and purrs beautifully through the brand new crisp sounding Flowmaster American Thunder dual exhaust system with H pipe. Large 3 core radiator keeps this Z-28 running cool. Just some of the other NEW parts include a factory over fill bottle, windshield washer bottle and console rear panel. Transmission is a 350 automatic with B&M shifter that works very nice.
Interior: The Factory silver grey interior is in real nice shape for being original. The seats are very nice. GT Grant steering wheel. Also has a new dash pad with Z28 embroidered to protect the factory dash. All of the aftermarket autometer gauges work nice. The carpet is in fair shape.
Body: The paint on this car is not very good and is showing it’s age in alot of places. It is not show quality, but still looks great for a driver. The lower rear quarters and dog legs have some rust in need of repair. The trunk lid has some rust under the spoiler, however this auction comes with a factory GM trunk lid with spoiler provisions - ready to paint and install. The bumpers have some scratches. The trunk floor is in good shape with minor rust. Could use a new driver door handle. Wheels are rare 16 inch Ronal R-9's and have a pro-tour look. 16" Radial Tires are in good shape. Please note that the black steel Z/28 wheels pictured next to the heads are not included in this auction. Heads are included as well as a 2nd generation camaro car cover.
Options: This '79 Camaro is equiped with Z-28 options, power windows, power steering, tilt, power disc brakes and AC (not hooked up). These 70-81, 78, 79, 80 and 81 Rally Sport or Z28 camaros are quickly increasing in value and are an excellent investment. It could very well be worth double what you pay for it in 4-5 years. This vehicle isn’t perfect and would need some TLC and minor work to make it show quality, but it is a solid, rare car with nice options. It starts with 2 pumps, one turn of the key and drives good. The transmission does have a minor leak but shifts fine. This car was an original AC car.
