Shes runing hot maybe???

I have a 2001 WS6 6 speed with 19,000 miles on it. It seems like its running hot, my gauge says that it runs at a steady 210, the middle number, and never gets hotter than that, but im begingin to think that the gauge is inaccurate because some times if I've been driving it a long time, for like a couple hours, and park it, when i pop the hood i can hear like a bubbleing noise, like water boiling, coming from the coolant resivor. I did just replace the radiator, do you think its possible that I have an air pocket in the radiator?? I thought that was unlikly since I replace it awhile ago, and there is that over flow line that runs from the radiator to the resivor.. Thanks in advance guys.

Are temp gauges are innacurate but our cars run at that temp to "optimize" performance and use the cats. I would pop the radiator cap and let any bubbles escape if that is the case-when cold that is.

Our gauge is way off... during a recent coolant change the thermostat did not open up the first time I started the car. The guage stayed around 200, but my scanner showed 225 at which time I shut it down. You may want to check it with a scantool just to be sure. Another possibility is a handheld laser temperature sensor to get an idea what it is running at.

Pressure test your RAd cap, or just replace it...

If it was running hot you'd see more than 210 even on the fake gauge, and hotter than that the fans would continue to run after shut down. My guess is the radiator cap isn't holding pressure - make sure it's tight (or replace it) and the neck is clean first.
