Nittos or Nexens?

I need tires so I was going to get either the same tire I had, the BFG SS zr, or get the Nitto nt 555. But then someone told me that on eBay I could get the vette z06 wheels (which are way more bad @ss than my stock ones) with tires for almost the same price. Only thing is the tire is a Nexen n3000...Is the Nexen as good or better than the Nittos?

I have the Nexen n3000 on my car with C5 18s. I don't know about the nitto but they are good tires at a good price. They are also designed to blow out at the side walls so that they come off the rim to protect the quater panels.
