Need help with idle...

IM LOST!!! I have a 1967 Camaro, Just did a LS1 Swap... Runs awsome, but Im having a idle prob.. It idles around 800... I cant seem to find a vac leak. Ive put new MASS air meter, air temp sensor, throttle poss sensor, IAC motor.... Dont know what else it can be,,, Funny thing is, I can UNPLUG the mass air flow and the air temp sensor and it still runs the same... Should it run without the MASS air hooked up...???? DO I EVEN NEED the mass air sensor....??? PLEASE, sombody HELP... Here is my Camaro.. <br>

beautiful car there, your saying u want it to idle higher than 800? i believe mine idles at 800-1000....ill have to look tomarrow, and yes you need the MAF, without a MAF you will run into all sorts of problems just my .02

Thanks.. I was told my idle needs to be around 500... 800 is tooooo high....

500??? i dont think my ls1 idles that low.....i could be wrong, ill check for you tomarrow if someone doesnt chime in before than

A4 right? My stock tune had the in gear idle/foot on the brake set at 525-585 reading it on a scanner. Park/neutral idle was 645-676. After my Vig install I had to bump the in gear to 750 as part of the converter tune because the idle would sometimes "hunt" coming to a stop or at low speeds in parking lots, and had a tendency to die.

Figured out my idle prob... Turns out the guys at street and preformance tuned my computer for a STANDARD instead of an automatic.. I told these guys I was putting in a 700R and NOT the 4l60E... They kept trying to talk me into putting in a 4l60E tranny, I had to make it clear that I DID NOT want a electric tranny... The had it set to idle at 800 RPM... Found a guy here that can TOTALLY flash my cars computer... MAN she runs GREAT!!! Idles right at 650 RPM...
