Had a day full of lawyers and am in a foul mood. Lawyers just tickle the shit out of me....they can say whatever they want, they collaborate with the other side to run up bills, they are not responsible for any deliverables nor anything they say can be used against them at anytime....they have total immunity and could care less about right or wrong...could care less if honest people get fucked by crooks....the entire legal system is just a fucking big game...slanted to put money in the accounts of all the lawyers. Has nothing to do with justice. Nothing at all.
I could sue you today for some totally made up bullshit. I can file on you and say you came down here to South Texas and promised me $100K for advise and counsel. You would have to get a lawyer and he would say "well I need $40K retainer cuz this guy has a big law firm on his side and these are serious charges"....you could produce pictures/video/affidavits from the Pope stating you had never even been to Texas and are clueless who I am nor where I live..... and all that would mean absolutely nothing.....
I would then let your attorney know I wanted $30K to settle. Your attorney is gonna tell you that by the time you went through discovery, depositions, expert witness fee's, lawyer's time, research it is gonna cost you around $80K to defend yourself and there is no guarantees you will win and you may still have to pay me anyway...so just pay the settlement offer because it is good business. And if you don't pay all these charges and defend yourself I will get a summary judgment on your ass and take all your shit from you. All this on totally made up fantasy bullshit. So you pay me $30K on something I just made up with no proof whatsoever. I just went and got a lawyer and he filed some totally made up bullshit at the courthouse.....

It would be a nice turn of events to see a nation work things out the old fashioned way, but honesty and integrity are becoming a thing of the past, lost somewhere in a pile of greed resulting in too many people abusing the system designed to protect us, leading to sue happy people who cannot be trusted to self-regulate and refrain from filing lawsuits lacking in substance, therefore securing a cycle that has inevitably ruined it for the people who have legitimate cases
