What's with candy branded cars?

Been wondering this for awhile but I haven't come up with an answer besides STUPID.

Just like the "thirties is the new twenties" thread, guys take $200 cars put 3K in wheels and tires on them then paint brands of candy on them like, Mike and Ike's, Skittles, Mr. Goodbar, etc.

And that's just a few I've seen in the AL and FL area. WTF am i missing here?

Maybe it's just me but I wouldn't be caught dead in a car that was painted to look like a pack of smartee's or sweet tarts!

Are candy companies taking a hint from Red Bull and just giving people cars to drive around made up like that for the sake of easy advertising?

I would never want any of those clowns advertising shit for me. I have seen these dumbass cars up here around Detroit. Im sorry, but it is just the stereotypical black man in a POS car thinking it ghetto to run around with this on his car.

I havent seen any of these yet, but what pisses me off is when they have their car model on a huge chrome vinyl down the side of their car. big huge chrome "IMPALA" down both sides
