I need to replace my leaking intake manifold gasket asap. Anyone ever does this? How many labor hrs does it call for? Any tips or tricks?
Thanks.

Just changed mine out last week. Kind of a pain in the azz getting to a few of the bolts i.e. the ones on the back and one near the EGR which will most likely have to be removed. Took abut 4 hours to get taken off and replaced. Not too bad though. Dealership wanted to charge standard GM rate. 801.00 to do the job.
Thanks for the info man.
Scott.
Also i am not 100% sure it's the intake manifold that's leaking. I checked the oil sending unit sensor it was not leaking. What else could it be? I know it's coming from that area for sure. It leaks down on the trans bell housing then around where the cooler lines go into the trans and also by the trans dip stick tube, then on the ground. At first I thought it was the trans cooler lines or dip stick, but not it. It's engine oil for sure.
My Z28 only has 52K original miles, so I knew it was going to start leaking once I drove it more.
It's also leaking from the front crank seal, I think?
Is the crank seal a common problem on these LT1's? I never had a problem with my ret. 94 but then again it had 140K original miles on it. Other than that my current 94 Z28 is not leaking any where else and does not burn any oil & runs like brand new!
Any help with this issue would be great. Thanks, Scott...
Could be the valve covers or the rear of the intake. My front seal has leaked a little off and on. It is never a constant leak though. I would wash the rear of the engine down and try to see where it might be leaking from.
