wtf clutch problem
my clutch has creept towards the driver over time... and it has ended up being that it seems to be rubbing in neutral, as there is a sound and vibration. only way it stops is stepping on the clutch. very f'in annoying and undoubtly it is wearing out my clutch (spec 2 with less then a years easy use on it), and makes for sloppy shifts. when i first had the clutch installed it was about half way or so pushing in the clutch, but its made its way up so that its only a few inchs needed to step on the clutch. why is this happening? every time i come to a light now im cramping up holding the clutch down so it doesnt "rub" or how i preceive the noise. the last clutch started doing this right before it started slipping like mad... but i thought it was because it was over 5 years old at that point (or older, it came with the car when i bought it in 2003). this is a spec 2 clutch and the flywheel replaced with it last summer, and i havent even done a burn out with the thing, never dropped it in gear, been a complete baby with it.
also, sometimes, maybe 1/15 times i start the car, if i parked the car and leave it in 1st which i often do since the parking break isnt that realiable, when i start the car there is a bang noise even with the clutch pedal floored as it starts.
obviously something isnt right, any insight would be a great help.
