Custom interior painting

Ok after doing a search, I know this topic has been beaten to death but I want to know what the proper way to paint the interior pieces. I'm going to paint my center console radio bezel, speaker grilles, and possibly where the door handle and window switches are if i can do it right. What is the correct order of events, including what specific grit to use. Im not looking for sema quality, just something that's going to last a long time. The interior is black, and I'll be doing a nice deep bright gold. And what is wet sanding?

i dunno man seems like the only people who paint their interior pieces are rice owners...and its usually a nasty yellow..make sense because if its not yellow its not fast lmao!

aslong as the parts you are painting aren't textured, I'd use 320 or 400 wet sand paper (you get a pack at most autoparts stores) use a bucket of warm water witha few drops of dawn dish soap in it. dip a sponge in the bucket and wipe your parts and dip your sandpaper often to keep it wet.....rinse the parts often with the spong to keep them clean.
if tou can find (plastic addhesion promoter) in a spray can put a thin coat on the parts after they are sanded, cleaned, and dry. with or without the promoter, use a good spray primer (preferably plastic primer) . several very thin dust coats will bond and hold up better than one or thick coats. spray your color, let dry and your done!
