Hope it doesn't end up like this one, 16yr olds and nice cars isn't right. You need to work for what you own. And start out with a slow POS to learn how to drive.

Yeah, the kid doesn't even have a license yet.

I agree with the work for what you own part. But my first cars since I bought it and paid for it plus paid the insurance was a 71 camaro. You either learn to respect the power or you dont.

damn i could understand getting in on his 16th birthday since that happens all the time but he turned 15 and got it he still has 6months to go before he can even drive it.hope he has fun lookin at it in the drive

The car is nice, I'm happy for him, and still not a big fan of yellow, but whatever.

I think it's more about handing an inexperienced 'child' so much power

As a parent, as my sons first car... I don't want him learning to drive 'the fun way' with so much hp.

It's a nice car, but I am glad my parents aren't rich. I wouldn't be half the person I am today. I'd rather earn that car.

Right, wrong, whatever, I'd love to have that for a first car. Hell, when I got my license at 16 (back in 2002), I would have LOVED to have had the '02 SS. If I did, it wouldn't have changed the way I respect things today, or what I have at this point in my life. But maybe that's because from early childhood, I was taught to respect things all the same, no matter which way they came. I guess Mr. Allbaugh is saying that he wasn't

I'm not talking about respect in that aspect. I am talking about him wrapping it around a tree learning how to handle it.

I think we can all say we wish we were given or even been able to buy a car like that for our first car. I'm just saying that if we all had been given that wish, not all of us would be here today to say so

I was happy with what I had...it builds character.
