White- 99 Firebird

Folks, I appreciate the invitation to join. My daughter, a senior at the University of Martin, owns a 1999 Firebird (white). As a rule I have performed all the maintenance on this since it was purchased in 2001. Hope to learn much and maybe share a few of my experiences . .

Just replaced the composite gear in one of the headlight motors in my daugher's 99 firebird. It lasted only one week. I was able to open the gear housing and remove/replace the worn gear, but apparently the gear clearance of teeth must be excessive. I'm back at square one. Any way to get the teeth of the gears to mesh deeper? Gear was an aftermarket.
