    From Sweden

    Hi!

I have a 2002 Corvette Z06, which is a dedicated trackday car. I'm constantly upgrading my car to make it perform on the track. I'm here because I'm going to install a stroker kit and need some advice.

I sell racing accessories like laptimers and I am also the Swedish representative for Braille Racing Batteries.

Well, I first wanted a 395 cui stroker kit that was based on the original LS6 bore of 3.898". But I was told that there was a 403 cui kit that was also based on the same bore. So I ordered it!

However, when I received the kit, it was supplied with 4.005" pistons, which just doesn't work for me. I have to re-sleeve the block to be able to use them. Since I use my car for racing, reliability is very important, and I don't want to re-sleeve it.

After quite a few e-mail messages back and forth, they finally understood that the LS6 has a 3.898" bore, not 4.000". 4.000" is standard on the 6 liter version LS1 and LS2, but not LS6. They are now trying to locate 3.905" pistons for me, which would be perfect.

Unfortunately, it will not be a 395, but a 383 stroker.

    Pistons: Diamond, 3.905"
    Rings: Diamond
    Rods: Compstar H-beam 6.125"
    Crank: Compstar, 4" stroke

You should be making some good hp with that 383 anyways. What sort of cam are you going with, work on the heads, what sort of compression, fuel? Just curious since the cam you want is more than likely different than what 9/10 people on here get since most have to drive theres on the street. It would be interesting to see if you break the 500rwhp mark since so few do it on the stock cu".
