SLP Engineering, New Jersey Moded my Z28?

I just purchased a 1997 SS Z28 30th Edition Camaro. My wife and I have been thinking about buying one for a few years. I excited to have a toy again. LS1, Headers and H-pipe, hood scoop is ducted to the intake Throttle body, MSD throughout including computer controller and a six speed. It feels like driving my old big block Chevelle, tons of torque and revs quick.

There are three sticker labels 3.5 X 5 inch, two under the hood and one on the door that say this vehicle has been modified after manurfacture, but does comply with certain standards. I emagine I can call SLP Engineering in New Jersey and give them my VIN # to see what all thery have done.

I'm glad to see this site, I'll be on it often to see what you guys have done to your Camaro's, plus learn a lil' more about the LS1.

not to be a smartass but a 97 doesn't have a ls1 it has a lt1

Funny, right off the bat I learned something about my lil hot rod. The guy I bought it from told me it had a LS1 HEHEHE.... Well okay, I have a LT1 now. I guess I better go see what I have huh? Maybe someone put in a LS1, heck I dont know. Thanks guys. I'm ready to have some fun with it. 406 - 408 sounds good right now. I want to fix up some dings and rips here and there, then start playing with engines. We just bought it to modify and play with, so it will be fun. Thanks again guys. Lloyd

Yup, LS1 FTMFW! Also, its red? I hope it wasn't a 30th Anniversary (originally white with orange strips and white interior). That is one that I wouldn't do a transplant in. The SS in those is rare, especially a M6. Most were Z28s. I'm guessing you just meant it was a 97 SS.
