    An Old "New Guy" - LOL !

    Guys,

    My name is Dave and I am an "old, new guy" on the forum. I'll be turning 50 this summer and am getting back into cars after a 24 year "vacation" (marriage has a way of killing hobbies, especially when you are young ), but my wife says it's OK for me to have a "toy" now . . .

    I belong to several other forums and have been trying to "catch up" on the technology.

    Being "old school", I didn't like the LS motors, at all. However, after a lot of research and the help of others, I now realize just how superior they really are . . . Live & Learn !

    I had around a 10 year 'vacation' myself. I came here for the same reason and never left It's a great site and has very helpful members that are more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

    just what we needed....another old fart. Just messing with you and I'm not that far off.

    Welcome to the site and I think everyone realizes after a while how much of an improvement the gen 3's are over the gen 1 and 2. They make tons of power, are pretty much bullet proof, and are very efficient. Mine has 98k on it, runs 11's, and I can run the a/c on the way home from the track. Never figured my gas mileage because it's not something I worry about on that car but I would be it's in the 20's on the freeway or close to it.
