    Old guy on the block

    Hey Guys
Bill Downing here, with a 2002 WS 6. It had 7500 miles on it when I bought it in April of this year ( it has 14000 now).

I'm trying to learn what I can by reading this Great Site. The first thing I notice is that a lot of you all are in your twentys and VERY informed about this LS 1. I'm 47 with a long history of hot rods and like toys. I am old school with preformance, so I will need some help in getting up to speed with the new techonolgy.

I want to get to 400+ HP and it looks like the best way is to get there is a set of long tube headers and exhaust, lid, smooth bellows, a tune, free mods and ??????
    Thanks in advance
    Bill in Cincy

    43 here,

a 75 shot should get you there w just a lid and exhaust.

Go with LT's and do a 100 shot be closer to 450 rwhp.

    welcome aboard

Welcome bill. 50 in Feb. here and until the 04 gto, I've been domesticated and practical vehicles since the 70's when you could actually sit in the engine bays and work on stuff. Those were the days.

very easy to meet your goal with the LS1. you may just wanna check out the sponsers such as Texas speed. they have some awesome cams that would help you make it there.
