o2 sims or tune
hello all, recently joined, new ls1 owner, recently bought some headers, installed, but now am wondering about the o2 sensors. Can I just install some o2 sims to replace the downstream sensors or should i get a tune. I've heard alot of good things about the Frost mail order tune but i don't know if it would be worth the cost with just a header install with the Air/Egr delete. Thanks for any input!

Tune > 02 sims. If you're an A4, the tune could also be used to firm up your shift points and remove the torque management (if you wanted to).
The 02 simulators are hit or miss. Some people have success with them, while others have used them and they've crapped out over time, resulting in them getting the rear o2's tuned out anyhow.

Thanks for the input! I've been checking out my options and I think i'll go with a Frost mail order tune. I've heard nothing but great things about them. Turn around is supposed to be less than a week after you send them your pcm. And the cost of o2 sims thru ws6 store is 50 bucks more. Frost tune is only 150$.

You are correct. I've never heard of an unhappy customer with him and there have been plenty of people here and over on tech that use his services!
