both Silver and black- 1971 & 2000 Z/28's
NOT 1 BUT 2 zee's
Well, my TRIPLET BOYS are off to college this year and finally, after eighteen years, the minivan era is dead!!! Sliding doors, third row seating, drop down video screens, etc,, no more. In order to keep some sanity over the past ten years, I did complete a ground up 1971 Z/28 restoration which came out mint. 350, dart heads, comp cam, five speed richmond, 4 wheel disc brakes, QA-1 coilovers up front. But that was for a nice Sunday drive or car show. Come Monday, back into the Grand Caravan !! I would love to go out and buy a 2010 Camaro, but with three college loans racking up over the next four years, I started looking for something realistic. Then I came across a clean 2000 Camaro Z/28 with 70,000 miles on her. I stole her from her previous owner last week and I'm having a blast again!! I am blown away by the performance of this LS-1 thing. I never knew the 4th gen had such a great ride, loaded with every option you could dream of, and gas mileage too. I will need some help from the community on upgrades, etc for this is all new to me. Pictures to come, if I can figure it out.

Welcome aboard, Phil!
Wow... triplets Congrats on them all going to college and enjoy your post mini van days
I also had pretty much the same experience. Who knew the LS1 came out of the box that way It's a whole new world. Took a bit of modification to get my 69 Chevelle running this way back in the day and I got maybe 11 mpg on a good day Had that car for just over 13 years... I miss it terribly.
These cars are a treat for those of us who grew up on classic muscle!
The classics will always have a special place in my heart though.
Have fun with it!

Thanks guys. All those coil packs and no distributor or carb??? Lots to learn for sure. Car did come with cat back Flow Master exhaust, k&n filter and hyper tech chip with programmer ( don't know what to do with that thing ). But once again, just so impressed with the whole package. Real blast to drive. Thing my 71 Z is a little jealous!

Got the polished ZO-6 rims yesterday....not chrome...and waiting on tires. the rims are front-17x9.5's and rears 18x10.5's. If I'm correct, the tire combo should be fronts-265/40's and front 295/35's? Does that sound right? Tire dealer tells me too wide and too small a sidewall. What do you guys think?
