    NOOB from Allen Park, MI.

    Recently picked up a 99 Z28 A4 convertible in need of at least an engine. I'm planning to rebuild it myself, will be snooping around this site for guidance. Just a basic rebuild with a few extras (cam, springs, convertor, exhaust, and tune basically). Hoping to go faster than my fathers 2013 5.0 Mustang and let the wife drag race a little hopefully. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Purchased the car with what I think is a rod knock (haven't removed it to assess damage yet). I'm thinking budget rebuild and some upgrades around $3000.00.
