Newbie from San Diego, CA

Actually I live in Escondido which is close enough to San Diego. I had an 06 Mustang GT (don't hate) with minor mods including cams and gears. I totaled the car at the drag strip. I wanted another muscle/sports car. I wanted to keep the price under 17,000. I already had an S197 mustang (05+), 03/04 cobras priced at $17,000 are usually beaten so it was between the mach 1 and 04+ GTO. I was never into the GTOs into I meet a couple of guys at the track with them. The looks of the car grew on me and I thought the interior was much better than the S197 and of course the MACH 1. I found an 04 GTO with L/T headers, catted x, Spintechs, which were too loud so I replaced with flowmasters, MS3 Cam and dyno tuned by Texas Speed.
Here are a couple pic. Some people will think it ugly but I like it.

No hating here. Plenty of Mustang and Ford owners on this site. Congrats on the GTO.

Have you looked at joining socalmuscle.net. A local so cal group with all makes and models of muscle cars. In fact we are doing a meet and cruise this Saturday.

I do have an account over there. I did just take a look and it's a whole new look since I checked in last. Looking good

One of these days, I'll have to do one of the meets and cruises.

Welcome to the site. Most of have a dark blue oval in our past.
The important thing is you realized you had a problem and now you have a GTO.

Maybe wrecking the mustang was a blessing in disguise. In all honesty I did like the mustang as well and I won't necessary say anything negative about it. I just wish I could take my GTO to the track but my wife is totally against it and I'm a little apprehensive.
