Newbie from Eugene, OR
Hey everyone!
This is a great site. Has definitely helped to explain all of those little quirks that our cars share. I'm just starting out the season drag racing (sportsman class) up at Woodburn, OR where I'm the only 4th gen Bird. Someone has to represent! I'm still learning the takeoff, and getting ready for a clutch upgrade. My times are still slow 14.01, but it's at 102.6mph. Just due to my slow launch and reaction times. Gotta start somewhere! Have to make a 13.99 to qualify for Pinks on July 4th.

Welcome to the site man. Way to represent! Good luck at the track, I am sure you will pick it up quick and be on Pinks by next season! Nice burn out BTW!

Thanks for the welcome! This looks like a great place, and I'm learning everything that I can. I really appreciate any advice that people can give me. That burnout is about 80 still frame photos that my wife took. I layered them all together in Adobe photoshop elements and then saved as an animated gif image with a .2 sec delay between shots. In real time it felt like it was quite a bit longer. And I still have some tires left!
