Hey people..
Currently in the process of dropping an LS2 into my 1992 Lexus SC400... Will be running Nitrous as well.. Monster project but looking for some future support on this forum..
I would also like to mention the "Anything Goes" section of this forum for down time reading and posting is amuzing.. Just wondering why I am restricted or blocked from posting in that section only as a new member? I can post in any other section but that one..
Perhaps someone knows why?

G'day and welcome. Sounds like a good project you've got going.
It's not how fast you can go. It's how fast you can get there.

Thank you Knight, Konigandi6, Thunder, and Kahanareef for the friendly replies..
Yes, this project on mine is an adventure and challenge to say the least..
I found matching Toyota to Chevy is not the easiest of swaps to pull off.. The electrical integration part is probably the hardest part, such as instrument integration, sensor reads from the stand alone ECU etc.. One has too literally breaking down the electrical hookups one wire at a time..
The fitting of hard parts, custom driveshaft alteration, welding of certain parts and mounts are reallly the easy part to a swap like this..
Anyhow, This swap should make my Lexus S400 a real beast when finished and should surprise alot of people that pull up next to me in the future thinking they can easily pull on me in a drag.. Sleeper fun stuff is what I am hoping for in this ride in the future...
Thanks for reading..

Thanks, I would love to post some pics as soon as I figure out how to do that.. This forum is a bit different as far fuctional navigation compared to others..
Yeah the LS2 with headers and straight pipes with a true 100rwp shot of Nitrous for starters should launch my heavy SC400 from a dig very well.. The Dry Nitrous system I already have in place is what I will go for now, but future plans will be twin turbo boost..
That is what is going on in my garage right now.. Love the N/A power delivered in these larger LS2 motors, and being that many have not ventured to try this swap I took on the challenge. The LS2 engine fits in perfect too with no alterations to the engine bay compartment.. My stock 1uz-fe 4.0 V8 motor was actually larger and probably heavier too. I picked up a used LS2 motor to swap in with only 15,000 miles on it... It's like brand new.. I'm siked and can't wait to lay down the rubber with this newer motor..
I'm in the process of creating the custom flat headers now to perfectly fit the exhaust system..Last edited by JIBBBY; 08-17-2010 at 07:35 PM.

A lot of us use photobucket to post pictures. At the top of the New Members section, there is a sticky that explains how to open an account for free and use photobucket to post pictures.

Ok thanks I'll look into photobucket..
I was use to seeing a function button at the bottom to download pictures when posting which most other forums have, but I don't see that option on this forum when posting..
I will review the sticky, thanks for the heads up Kahanareef....
