    newb with ws6

From AR, have a 77 TA and an 01 ws6 auto. The 01 is bone stock with 47,000 miles. It sits in the garage most of the time but my dad and I take it for drives evey now and then. Goals are for around 400fwhp, maybe just upgrade to ls6.

welcome to the site. There are no major gains to be had by going to the LS6 block asides from slightly better ventilation between the cylinder bores. The gains of the LS6 are in the intake, which you already have and the heads (off the corvette).

Not going ls6 block, just heads, maybe a stouter cam, not sure yet.

fwhp is fly wheel hp., trust me I'm not looking for much more power. The 77 TA is going to be the fast one.
