newb with a 98 camaro
just picked this up over the weekend. and have been cleaning it up since. unfortunately it is not a SS i just haven't figured out a way to remove the badges safely. its a 3800 with 196K miles. auto. also came with a set of stock wheels with good tires, and side skirts (but i removed them)
next summer i will either be turboing or selling to buy a LS. i have had a Grandprix that i built to over 400WHP, so i do have experience with the 3800 and turbos :burn: ...but i may just sell to buy a LS...who knows
here are a few pics from today...

Welcome from a new guy. Those are some quality pics, like the camaro to. A buddy of mine has a GTP Grand Prix with a turbo'd 3800 runs 11.60's, go to stangbangerz.com and check out the carnage pics, just a little to much compression, anyway enjoy the site.

Welcome aboard! Very clean looking car
I was able to just peel the badges off of my car. They came off rather easily on a nice, hot, So Cal day

Silver & Blue- 02 Camaro SS, 04 GTO
Hey KahanaReef, I got an infraction for telling a newbee to " Take a refresher course in math " and this guy is allowed to call everyone an " asshole " Wow, where is the fairness ?
BTY, to get the SS badges off the car safely in cold weather just use a heat gun. But be careful, apply heat for 10 to 15 seconds and then use a plastic putty knife. It should come right off. Welcome aboard

He only called me an asshole

The "asshole" comment was made in jest -- but as pointed out, we do not condone name calling on the Board. Now, before you start searching understand that established groups will often pick on each other and you will see some name calling banter. That is quite a bit different than what we have here.
Also, for comparison sake, the comment that earned you ink was clearly not in jest. I suggest you let it go.

This is between me and KahanaReef Jeff. We already have worked this out between us so please mind you own business. Note that I did say " Please "

Then you need to take your concerns to PMs and not muck up yet another new members thread. And by the way, as already pointed out to you, you did NOT receive an infraction. It was a no points warning. Let's put this one to rest, shall we?
ldyzluvdis06, sorry for the nonsense. I hope you find this site to be very valuable as well as entertaining

2000 Camaro 3800- 1999 Camaro 3800 Y87
It was a whole 9 degrees here in Denver today with a low of -2, so be happy it was 30 there lol.
Welcome man, I also own two 3800 Camaros. Good looking car, minus the tails As for the badges, take some fishing line and go between the badges and the car, should come right off.Last edited by SixShooter'00Camaro; 12-05-2011 at 10:37 PM.
