    New Z06 engine

I'm new to this site and would like to say hello to all. I'm buying a 1998 Pontiac Firebird WS6, and am going to buy a brand new Corvette engine (probably a Z06 eng) and possibly transmission for the WS6. I've been told that the eng and trans will fit and will run approx $7500 plus for the engine only... Does anyone know if this is accurate and what the best type of shop to have this done is (such as a Pontiac dealer). Thanks in advance.

A New Corvette Gear Box is located at the Rear End. not right behind the Motor as with most RWD cars. Motor would be a good swap but lots of Electronics will need swapped and Integrated.

i would save your money and look into the LS3 engine. and i wouldn't have the dealership do anything other than rotate tires. find a tuner in your area and he can most likely recommend a hot rod fab shop nearby. just my .02

that is NOT a good price for a LS6 or the LS7 even... not sure about the LS7 fitting right up but the LS6 will...
