Black- 98 Trans Am
New and shit...
Just bought my first ls1 car, 98 Trans Am with 68k miles on it, mostly stock for now, plans for the near future include long tubes, stall, a decent tire, and some other small b/s, by the end of the year/over winter I'm hoping to have a decent cam/ls6 intake/valvetrain work/suspension/spray, well see how it goes...what's up guys.

Welcome! Modding is a slippery slope. You start out small and next thing you know the UPS guy knows you by name and you're bolting a ProCharger to your anniversary edition F-body.

Black- 98 Trans Am
I know how the modding goes, I've been playing with cars for a little while now, definitely know what it's like to spend waaaay too much money on cars and shit...haha. Just looking for a few deals here and there, gonna get used to the car before I just start throwing gobs and gobs of shit at it, have a couple small issues I'm gonna take care of and then get to doing it big.

Black- 98 Trans Am
So far I have the pacesetter long tubes/y pipe, midwest converters, inc stall, b&m trans cooler, shift kit, and patriot push rods sitting in my parents garage, waiting for me to move into my new place in a week or two, after I do, I'm gonna break in the 3 car garage along with the car at the same time. I was going to trying to fit up the stock catback and a cutout for the exhaust, but probably end up just open y pipe with a turn down until I get sick of it and buy a bullet lol.
Still need "fun" tires, but I want to let my bank account recover a bit so it'll be the end of next week or so...unless I get too antsy lol. Planning on running a set of the Toyo Proxy TQ's, seem like the cheapest set of drag radials that people have decent luck with.
Also splurged a little bit and bought a set of 241's with upgraded valve springs, etc and a 231/239 .644/623 on a 114+2 lsa custom grind from a buddy for a decent price, gonna let those sit for a bit until I have some money to pick up an ls6 intake and some other small maintenance stuff that I might as well do while I'm throwing in the cam/heads to be safe. Trying to take this a bit slow so i can get used to the car, it's already fun as it is, can't wait until it has some real power behind it. I'm really not sure how I'm going to hook yet, so I'm sure I'll be needing a few things here and there, well find out here shortly.Last edited by hawaiifiveoh; 06-07-2011 at 03:09 PM.
