New old guy with old "new" car

Just dropping a quick note to everyone.

Name's Dave, also a member of SFFBA.

I'm like a 5-year old just before Christmas because by Sunday night I should be getting my car back from my mechanic.

It's a 2000 Silver Z28, with over 214,000 miles (which I've had since it was new), and the tranny gave up reverse two weeks ago, and (along with the engine starting to make strange noises) I knew it was time to replace engine and tranny and exhaust and...... you get the picture.

I figured out it would cost as much as getting a new Kia, and since this is infinitely more fun than a Kia ever will be, I decided to shoot the moon.

By tomorrow night, I'll be driving my Z again, with a brand-spankin' new LS2, with Tremec 6-speed, Edelbrock shorties, cat-back system, and Tokico shocks and struts all around (to replace the old, original ones), along with SFCs.

I can't FREAKING WAIT!!!!

So, hello everyone.

Once I get the car back I'll post pics.

Well, Speedy (nice looking car, by the way), right now, I'm still without the car (long story), and it won't be until Thursday night at the earliest, more likely sometime next week, before I finally get to ENJOY my new car.

I can see from the picture, you really take good care of your SS. Ain't it amazin' how much love we put into pieces of metal and plastic?

yep, everybody in my family and guys at work say I am obessed with my car. thats an understatement lol
