    Cool New member from west texas!!

    hey guys just checking in from west texas!!

    i have a 98 camaro with a cammed v6 5speed in it, the motor is blown in it and now it is time to give her the power she deserves. just looking for pointers and ideas on what motor to get with there being a bunch of choices.

    Welcome to the site!

    Lots of guys swap in truck based 6.0's for a solid foundation, but we have seen everything from 5.3 on up go into our cars. The fact that the architecture is the same on all these motors really simplifies things. If you do source a truck engine, be aware that many of them come with DOD and AFM so you need to do your homework.
