MMM- 2000 Camaro Z28
New member from Michigan
Hey all, new fbody enthusiast from Michigan. Current fbody is a Montery Maroon Metallic 2000 z28 M6. My last car was a mostly stock 95 z28, and with this being my first ls1 and a bolt on car I'm digging the new power. I bought the car about two weeks ago, but it is now tucked away safely under the cover in the barn waiting for spring.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase! Whereabouts in MI? My family is from Bay City and I did a year of college in Flint.

Welcome to the site!
It's kind of like being given a new toy and then having someone take it away, isn't it...
Congrats on the Z, I'm guessing Spring can't get here soon enough for you

Haha, yea it sucks not being able to drive it, but its okay it gives me time to get the suspension and paint work done over the winter.
pajeff02:I'm located about 45 mins south of Lansing. I'm guessing you went to Kettering?
Here are a couple pictures of the car

Welcome fellow Michigander! lol
Looks really clean! No snow yet, could still be driving it around. That cold air does wonders! We got some of our first snow last night over here on the eastside, but nothing stuck.

Nice looking ride. And you are correct - went to Kettering back when it was still GMI.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Haha, yea I know could definitely still be driving around but there are some things that I want to fix before I have it out driving around so I just threw it up on jackstands and started tearing it apart. The main issue is its lowered with Hotchkis springs and has Koni single adjustable shocks, but still is the worst riding car I've ever been in, and I've rode in lowered f-bodies before. Probably going to buy some Strano springs and make sure that the dampening is set right on the Konis.
For you Michigan guys, you know about mifbody.com right? It doesn't have nearly the technical knowledge that this board does, but it is a very popular social site. Its nice to do things with local fbodies.

No LS1's were there at the time, it was small, it was late as well.
Buit hell yes for the cruise! I'm making a point to get into the car often next year, buying house and having to fix it up killed any fun time this year (let alone plans for mods).
Is that on the east side of the road?

I hear ya... houses are a money pit no matter how new they are. Not to mention the massive amount of time you have to put in at work to afford a house! Where about in MI are you from?
Also, yes. Auto Europe is on the east side of Woodward. If I'm not mistaken, they're the ones that have all the Lotus' in the window.
