    99 Jaguar XJ8 LS Swap

    New Member here.

    Hello from Destin, Florida.
    Name is Mark, I am currently doing a 99Jaguar XJ8 conversion to Chevy 4.8 vortec with ls intake.
    Current problem with too high Alternator. Looking to modify brackets or scrap and go with LS front accessories.

    Open to suggestions.
    I see a lot of good posts out here. Many people with good knowledge of the LS1. It is def a learning exp for me.

    There are essentially three mounting styles for the alternator -- truck, Corvette and F-body. I assume you have a donor engine from a truck. The F-body mount is low and tight to the engine on the driver side. There are other mounting options available through aftermarket vendors as well.
